FAQs

What’s it like at Chateau Rigaud?

Chateau Rigaud is a beautiful place filled with clever details, personal touches, delicious food & plenty of fabulous Bordeaux wines. Whilst you are at the Chateau, it is our home from home and you are our guests, so all of the delicious food and beverages are covered by us. We hope that this will provide some priceless memories with you all!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP via our website by 11th January 2026.

Can I bring a plus one?

Only guests named on the invite can attend the wedding.

Are children welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, our wedding will be adults only, with the exception of Rachel’s little niece Carter who will be our very cute flower girl! We appreciate your understanding and hope that you can enjoy a day of relaxation and celebrations with us!

What will the weather be like?

Hopefully beautifully warm and sunny! The ceremony is later on in the day so that it feels a little cooler and the seating will be in the shade. The team at the chateau have also cleverly designed the day so that there will always be shaded areas available, though we would recommend bringing sun cream just in case!

Is there parking at the Chateau and The Bistro?

Should you wish to drive to the Chateau, there is parking available in the field just outside the main gate. The chateau does not allow vehicles into the grounds on the day of the wedding. You are welcome to leave cars in the field on the night of the wedding to collect the following morning. There is also parking available in the field next to The Bistro for the rehearsal dinner.

What should I wear?

Dress to impress! Though please no white or ivory.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes we would love for you to take lots of photos! We just ask that you don’t take any photos during the ceremony and please refrain from posting anything on social media until we have done so.

Whom should I contact with questions?

Should you have any questions, please just get in touch with Rachel - 07900397892 or Luke - 07748282920

Is there a gifts registry?

We appreciate that our guests will be travelling a long distance to join us for our special day so please, no gifts required! Simply bring yourself and your dancing shoes - we can’t wait to party with you!

Will last names be changing after the wedding?

Yes, we will officially be Mr & Mrs Lynam!

Do we need to book taxis?

Airport Transfers

Taxis and Ubers are readily available at the airports. An Uber from Bordeaux airport to the Chateau and surrounding area costs approximately €80-100. Taxis are limited around the area of the venue and there is no Uber service locally, therefore you will need to organise your return journey quite far in advance. We would recommend speaking with your accommodation to organise your airport return journey a month or more in advance. The Chateau minibuses are also available to hire at a cost of €190 per vehicle for an airport transfer. There are two minibuses each able to take 8 passengers. Please contact Anna for further details.

The Rehearsal Dinner on Monday 22nd June

As taxis are limited, please book your transport with your accommodation a month or more in advance should you wish to join. Should you prefer to drive to the bistro, there is parking in the field next to it. Directions to the restaurant are HERE or it can be found on What3Words at alarmingly.ritual.corsets

The Wedding Day on Tuesday 23rd June

You will need to organise your own transport to the venue. Should you wish to travel by taxi, you will need to organise this with your accommodation. For the journey home, we will be providing a complimentary shuttle bus service between 11pm and 2am, though please be aware that due to the rural location of the venue, this transport service is only available to guests who book accommodation from the list provided on this website. Should you wish to book accommodation elsewhere, you will need to organise your own transport home from the venue.

The After Party on Wednesday 24th June

Should you wish to join, you would need to make your own way to and from the chateau for the after party, so we would recommend speaking with your accommodation to organise a taxi at least one month in advance.

How much do taxis cost?

Due to the rural location of the venue, taxis can be quite expensive for a short journey. Typically a taxi journey to the Chateau will range from €30-40 for the majority of the accommodation provided on the list. Where possible, it would be beneficial to share taxis with other wedding guests staying in your accommodation or local area.
